How different is the 2018 Jeep Wrangler going to be from the 2017 model? Looking at it, seems there are only a few cosmetic changes, but the guys at FTL and from Jeep say there are numerous differences. There are a number of videos out on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler but none really went into showing the changes, just a lot of talk. However this video was the pick of what I saw, had the most views to date and I expect before long should be able to find one with a road report, hopefully of not just the 2018 model, but what we could expect to see in the 2019 model.
After you have watched this review, there is a second video below showing a Jeep assembly line in action, is rather interesting. There are rumours circulating about Chrysler having financial problems, and of the Chinese making noises of buying Jeep. I havent seen anything official to substantiate this, and we all know how rumours can start, disappear and/or be denied, then come back again some times as a fact. I imagine if Chrysler Fiat were to try to sell their Jeep Division it would attract the major players in the automotive industry. Ford for instance tried hard to claim the rights to the Jeep name after the end of WWII but dipped out, and Jeep certainly continued to make a name for itself in civvy clothes, same as it had done in uniform during the war years. The 1940’s was the start of the Jeep legend, and Jeep has pretty well stuck as a legend ever since.
Indian had much the same reputation with their “Scout” motorbike especially during WWII, with replicas and NFO parts still being produced today .
Whats different? Listen in while the guys discuss the 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
Thanks to FastLaneTrucks for this review and update. Photos are video screen shots.
Check this video of a Jeep assembly line. Where would they be without robots?
Here is a good opportunity to see a Jeep assembly line in action and how Jeeps are put together.
No doubt the workers are on their best behavior knowing cameras are on them, but the robots wont give a damn. They just keep right on doing their thing exactly the same time after time until someone turns them off, or reprogrammed them to do something different.
