Cherokee v Patrol v Defender Mud Trial
Cherokee v Patrol v Defender Mud Trial
Mud trial comparisons like this Cherokee v Patrol v Defender Mud Trial are interesting to watch, with some of the holes these vehicles get into have to wonder if they got out again under their own power, especially as apart from the Defender which went through the sloppy stuff as it should, the other vehicles didn’t have locked diffs and consequently struggled.
Next course of action was to put the pedal to the metal and hope that high engine and wheel Revs Per Minute will compensate for the lack of traction.
Suspensions have been modified and larger tires fitted but that seems about it.
Not sure which country this track is in but it certainly is a challenging one with a lot of excitable, and sometimes hysterical shouting of I presume advice from the observers, adding to the atmosphere.
This trial was a good test of the drivers driving skill plus making the most of the vehicles capability to perform in these conditions without having added a lot of expensive performance enhancing extras to their vehicles.

This one was filmed in Africa and is a very honest appraisal of the 2 legends of 4WD vehicles, the Jeep Wrangler compared to a Landrover Defender.

Ford claim their Raptor is the best off-road 4WD vehicle, while Jeep naturally claim their Wrangler is the best.
So which is it? One good way to find out is to watch this video while FLT put both through their paces.
